1. When does the City Council meet?: Regular City Council meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at City Hall, 401 4th Street, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

3. How do I have a birthday or anniversary message added to the community sign?: Birthday or anniversary messages can be displayed on the Community sign at no charge. Please contact Don Wood by phone: 712-943-5821 or by email: wodro@longlines.com and leave a message with the details. Note this service cannot be used for advertisements.

4. When is my utility bill payment due?: The City strives to mail utility billing statements on the first of every month. Utility payments are due by the 20th of the month.

5. Can I pay my bill online, over the phone, by credit card, or by debit card?: We are currently unable to take payments online, over the phone, by credit card, or by debit card. We hope to add these features soon. Cash, personal check, and money orders are accepted. Please do not make a CASH payment through the Payment Drop Box.

6. How do I dispose of my lawn clippings?

There are two ways that Sergeant Bluff residents can dispose of yard waste.

(1) The City Compost Site located on Ridge Road, just off of South Lewis Blvd to the east, at the north edge of town is available from April through November, on Wednesdays 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. You may haul your yard waste to the site during open hours.

(2) Yard Waste Tags are available at City Hall for $2.65 each. Place your yard waste in receptacles and attach one Yard Waste Tag per receptacle. The yard waste will be picked up on your regular garbage pickup day.
